Goodwill Review by Brendan Mace – The Only Honest Review Out There!

Welcome to my Goodwill review, by Brendan Mace. He’s the creator of this product and claims to be able to show you how to make big bucks online.

But is this legit, or another scam? It’s so hard to tell these days.

To help you decide, I’ve purchased and gone through this entire product for you, to show you inside and how it works.

Any and all concerns are listed at the bottom of the review for you. And I’ve left you my honest recommendations OK? You should be able to make an informed decision about whether this is right for you or not.

This product was created by Brendan Mace and Jono Armstrong. It was launched on June 11, 2019.

This product claims to show you how to give away a free product on Facebook, and make money with upsell purchases.

Who Is This System For?

This would be for affiliate marketers who wish to learn how to give away a product for free on Facebook and hope to make money with any upsells.

I believe newbies will struggle with this product because the training is limited. Brendan gives out many suggestions, but unless you already know what he’s talking about, you might get lost.

It would work much better is you purchased the upsells, but then it gets significantly more expensive.

I’m not recommending this due to all my concerns listed below.

 

 

 

How Does It Work?

This is an interesting idea for a product. You always hear about giving things away for free when you want to grow your email lists, but not usually to get commissions. How can you make money from something you’re giving away?

Let’s take a look at the sales page…

Sales Page

Brendan tells you how he wanted to give away a free bonus because it was his birthday. And then commissions started coming in…

In his words “Holy Crap”!! He hadn’t asked for money, yet people were buying up his upgrades.

That was his “aha” moment. He thought this could be a great way to make money online. The less you try to sell, the more you’re going to sell”

To be truthful with you, this isn’t really a new idea.  

And guess what? They all have upsells worth hundreds. This is how all these owners are making their money!

Brendan and Jono say they will:

1. Give you a free product to give away.
2. Provide the upgrades which will sell themselves for you.
3. Give you an affiliate link to generate your commissions.

They say it’s all about “Working Smarter” and not harder…

So basically, they say they’re giving you everything you need for success, and that anyone can do this.

Now, you know this wouldn’t work at all without traffic, so they claim to even include free traffic for you.

They are convinced that the product they’re giving you to give away will work because it’s been a successful seller for them in the past.

This is what your traffic will be getting:

• A free product that teaches them how to build a business from scratch.
• Upgrades to simplify everything, like copy/paste campaigns, DFY funnels, and license rights to resell.

And of course, he tells you that this kind of “value” is usually reserved for his inner circle and worth more than $5000.

That’s a lot of hype to make you think this is an incredible deal for only $12.95. Did it work? lol.

Let’s take a look inside and see if it delivers what he promises…

Member Area/Dashboard

Once you get past all the OTOs, you will get access to your member area.

The first thing you’ll want to do is listen to Brendan’s welcome video. He gives you an overview of Goodwill, and how he’ll teach you to build a list if you don’t already have one.

There’s also a link, here, for a free bonus. It’s actually you opting into his FB “Messenger” bot list, and he offers to give you another freebie product. Expect a ton of future

Free Product

The next tab down is where you listen to Brendan tell you about your freebie product. He directs you to the link below the video to apply for your affiliate link in Warrior Plus.

The freebie is one of his previous courses called “The Lost Code”. This product is training for selling high ticket products for higher commissions.

Traffic App

Next comes your link to the traffic app. The video tells you that this traffic software app will get you free traffic to send to your offer.

It turns out that this is a very limited portion of one of his other products called Aurora. The entire product is training about Pinterest traffic and high ticket offers via webinars. But this isn’t what you get…

It appears to be similar software but only allowing you to upload your Instagram account. Oh, and do you know what a “proxy” is? You need that too.

I only have one account and don’t have a proxy. The software wouldn’t let me upload my account without one…

Training (Videos)

Brendan does most of the training here.

1. Overview of Goodwill Strategy – Brendan’s gives you a quick overview of Goodwill.
2. DFY Goodwill Landing Page – In the second video Brendan talks about the simplicity of the landing page.

I had to laugh here because this is his “freebie” landing page. Here’s a screenshot of what you get…

Now compare this to the actual product landing page he used, by clicking on this link ===> The Lost Code

And this is after he went on about having his graphic designers creating your page for you (??) and that for marketing, simplicity is best. Ya? Then how come his own landing page is sooo much more complex?

3. How To Disguise Your Link – This video talks about “cloaking” your link. He gives you two options: to either create a “bridge” page or to get a link tracking service, which comes at a cost.

These are both valid ideas, but that’s all he offers. There’s no additional training for either of these options.

4. My ManyChat Formula – Here, Brendan talks about using the Facebook “ManyChat” platform instead of using an email list. It’s basically using your list of Facebook friends and sending them offers on messenger using bots.

This is very effective for marketing, but you must be very careful to follow Facebook’s terms and conditions. All it takes is someone reporting your messages as “spam” or “abusive”, and your FB account can be terminated overnight.

Brendan does a good job of walking you through the steps needed to set this up and how to send your offers to your list.

5. YouTube Video – This is just a quick video telling you that you can use YouTube to promote your freebie if you wish. He doesn’t offer any training here because he says it’s easy enough to set up your own YouTube channel and do this yourself… Really??
6. Facebook Groups – The Facebook Groups video simply says how you can offer your freebie to different groups on Facebook without worrying about spamming. The next video will give you more detail.
7. Erik Cagi’s FB Strategy – Erik teaches you the techniques he uses on Facebook. He shows you exactly what he does. This is a great little training video for those of you who promote anything on FB.

8. Traffic Suggestions – Brendan is back talking about traffic for your freebie. The big advantage is that your offer is free, but he suggests using paid advertising (paid traffic) or siphoning traffic off his own high traffic sales pages (upsell #3).

Both of these methods cost extra money if you’re interested. He doesn’t give any training here, just suggestions.

And that’s it, folks… I’m not convinced it will work for you as he promises!

Bonuses

The bonuses I received were different from what was on the sales page. I believe those were only for launch week and he hasn’t changed his sales page…

#1: Course on Making Money Online with YouTube

This course, called “From Zero to $100 in 24 Hours” is taught by Jono Armstrong. He teaches you his exact strategy of how he started with affiliate marketing. It uses free traffic methods and claims if you’re consistent for 30 days, you’ll start earning money.

It focuses on YouTube and creating review videos for upcoming launches. When you add extra bonuses for your viewers, you have a great chance of converting.

#2: How To Build Your List Using Bing (Video)

This is a short video course about paid traffic. It’s mainly about Bing Ads with a bit about Solo Ads.

Jono provides you with a link to the full course on his website. It currently consists of 20 free modules.

#3: Course on Traffic Sources (Video)

This is Jono’s traffic training that came with his “Postly” product. He shows you a hack you can use with Adwords and the YouTube platform.

He also discusses Bing Ads. These are the most used strategies that have worked for him and he walks you through each step.

#4: Jono’s “Fuego Breakout” Product

Jono teaches you how to make money online using free tools.

He teaches you how to create landing pages, getting traffic from Instagram, and monetization.

Upsells

OTO #1: Pro Upgrade

This upsell will allow you to earn 100% of the profits generated on any upsells your customers buy. Without this, your commission will remain at 50%.

OTO #2: Steal Our Brand

This upsell offers you the opportunity to promote their high ticket coaching program. It will generate $1000 commissions.

OTO #3: Limitless Traffic

With the use of Google Ads, you will be allowed to add your Pixel to all of their sales pages. This brings you traffic data to your Google accounts and can help you set up

OTO #4: Done With You

Notice this says “with you” and not “for you”. They will help you set everything up. I’m not sure why you would need this because you already have access to the simple landing page. It may just provide additional support.

OTO #5: Reseller License

This license gives you the right to sell Goodwill as your own product and keep 100% of the commissions.

My Concerns

I have many concerns with this product that I’d like to share with you. These are my opinions and I only wish you to have all the information you need before making your decision…

Concern #1

This may sound like a great idea, to give away a free product, but it’s never that simple. Nor is it a new idea.

Giving away the front end product isn’t a great loss. And that’s because these product creators hold back the best parts as upsells. These are usually the “key” components to make the product function as it should.

You especially see this with the “freebie” you get to giveaway. It comes with very limited training and Brendan really pushes the upsells. If your customer chooses not to buy any upsells, they’d have to purchase 3rd party tools to make the product work for them.

He provides links to paid services such as:

• ClickFunnels
• Commission Gorilla

These are both excellent tools. I personally use Commission Gorilla because it’s a fraction of the cost of Clickfunnels. But they do both come with a cost, which might be difficult for newbies.

Concern #2

Under his welcome video, he has a link for another free bonus. Well, sort of…

When you click on the link, you’re automatically put on his “FB Messenger” list. He does offer you another freebie, but you’ll also be getting a ton of messages from him for future products. So head’s up!

Concern #3

When Brendan links you to get approval for the freebie product, you’re sent to Warrior Plus. He’s assuming you already have an account set up. Do you?

If you don’t, you’ll have to figure this out yourself, because he doesn’t walk you through how to do this. It’s not hard, but my issue is that this isn’t as “newbie” friendly as he says!

Concern #4

The traffic tool that he allows you to use is very basic. He’s telling you that all you need to use is Instagram.

When you try to upload your account into the tool, you’re required to have your proxy URL. Do you know what that is? It’s used when marketers want to use multiple accounts and don’t want any of their accounts shut down. So they purchase a proxy to hide sensitive information.

Most people won’t have a proxy. I don’t! But unless you purchase one, and enter the URL into the tool, it won’t work! And don’t expect any additional explanations or training for that either.

Concern #5

Brendan gives you a couple of valid ways to cloak your links, but again, it doesn’t offer any training for this. In under 2:00 minutes, he simply tells you what you can do, but that’s it. I thought this was newbie training??

Concern #6

Because Brendan releases new products every month or so (if not more…), the expiry date on things like this is short. What I mean by that is any support you may need will become harder and harder to get as time goes by.

And the Facebook technique is great for right now, but strategies like this can change very quickly. You never know when Facebook makes another big change, and this form of traffic will disappear.

Final Thoughts And Recommendations

I went through this entire product, and I’m not convinced. It may work for you if you purchase the upsells and access Brendan’s traffic stats with the “Unlimited Traffic” OTO.

But please be aware that you can’t send your promotion to his list. It only gives you data that you can use for your own paid traffic with Google Ads.

The limited amount of training inside will be difficult for a newbie to grasp the overall technique. Anyone with experience will be able to do this, but would they want to?

The product is OK, and it might be worth a try if you want to. This won’t make you the kind of money he promises. It’s simply another strategy to promote products.

Is Goodwill a scam?   No

Would I recommend it?   No

Products like this don’t last long. Not only will it be outdated in Brendan’s mind, in under a year, you never want to rely on just one traffic source.

Any successful marketer will tell you to establish several traffic methods so that you can have multiple income streams.

That way, if Facebook deletes it’s “ManyChat” platform or changes their algorithm so that you can’t perform affiliate marketing anymore, you won’t lose all your traffic.

Can I make you my honest recommendation?

I will always recommend you start your own online marketing business with your own website. This is the only way to truly create a long-term business with sustainable business.

I know, you’re saying “Well Brendan is doing it, why can’t I?”

Do you want to know the truth? Brendan & Jono are making a lot of money by creating their own products. They’re not always great products, but they can successfully market to newbies who don’t know any better.

It’s not my way of doing things, but it works for them… though unfortunate for all the buyers out there!

You can create your own business in any niche you like, with your own website. You can even start creating your own products to sell.

All you need is proper training and tools. And I know the perfect place for you to learn. It’s where I started many years ago, and I’m still there.
