Who Is This System For?
If you are interested in learning about setting up a Shopify store, then this will give you a general overview. But other than that, you won’t be learning how to make any money.
The owner has left out the most important part of any successful business. The traffic.
So despite his saying you can make $2K per day with his system, it’s all a lie. If you don’t have any traffic going to your store, you won’t make any sales!
So after spending $37 for an overview, you will still need additional training. And further down this review, I will show you some alternatives to the dropshipping method.
How Does It Work?
This product is very basic and already over a year old. It would give a total beginner a general overview of what dropshipping is, but you would need additional training.
The owner tries very hard to hype you up and make you believe this method will make you rich, but he fails to inform you of the downside to dropshipping.
There are very many upfront costs, like purchasing all your inventory that you wish to promote. This is also a very time-consuming method. You will have to spend time updating your website for stock changes, spend time with customer support as questions arise, etc.
He also shows you the incomes that he pretends are profits. They aren’t!
These are most likely the total sales, and in reality, your profits are maybe 10% of that after you pay for all the overhead costs.
Let’s go over the video first, so I can show you why I don’t trust products like these. Then you can hopefully spot them in future product promotions that are sent to you, OK?
The Sales Video Is All Hype And Lies
This “Tom” starts out by lying right away. Anything to grab your attention.
Lie #1: Little Known Secret
Dropshipping is no secret, lol. This business model has been around for a very long time.
But he knows that if he’s letting you in on a secret, that you might keep on listening, right?
Lie #2: Make Money TODAY
OK, this is shameless. He says you can easily make $2K today with less than 20 minutes of work. BIG FAT LIE!
Dropshipping is a real business, that many marketers have, but there’s no way you’ll earn money today. This business takes a lot of work. But of course, he doesn’t tell you that. He lies instead.
Lie #3: Fake Earnings?
I don’t know for sure if his income claims are real or not. It’s an easy thing to fake. But there’s something he’s not telling you.
When someone claims the amount of “Sales” he made, that’s the total amount that customers paid to his store. But this isn’t a PROFIT.
Dropshipping has very high overhead expenses. By the time you take away the cost of running your business on Shopify, all the paid advertising you purchased, the cost of your inventory, etc, you’re making maybe 10% profit!
Lie #4: The Usual Sob Story
When you’ve watched enough of these types of videos, you soon realize that all the “personal” backgrounds of these owners sound similar.
Meaning they all had some sort of a great job, then something happens to their job or health. Then they go broke, talk to someone they know about the system, and are now rich.
Lie #5: Shopify Used By A Handful Of People??
I laughed out loud at this…
After he tells you about his “secret” Shopify website, he says only a handful of people use it. He then goes on to say how prosperous Shopify is and is used in 175 countries by 1.2 million active customers…
So OK, which is it? Secret or very well-known and used? LOL
Lie #6: Misleading Demo
After telling you how he’s going to show you a demo of the system, he spends one minute quickly running through the process. And after leaving out a lot of information, he says you can make immediate money. Nope! Won’t work.
How can you make immediate sales when you have no traffic?
Lie #7: Fake Testimonials
You know this system doesn’t work when the owner can’t show any successful customers. So instead, he hires actors from sites like Fiverr, to read his script and pretend they love the system.
Here’s my proof…
And what’s a trashy product promotion without its fake user review posted on YouTube, lol.
I’ve seen this gentleman in other products. He was also hired from Fiverr and given a very generic script to read.
Because he never says the name of the system or any other details, the owner can simply swap out the product logo and re-upload onto YouTube.
Take a look at my review of The Silk Road Effect, to see him again. Notice the identical video?
So that’s just the video nonsense. It’s very misleading…
Now let’s look at the actual product.
The Product Is A Basic Overview
The Introduction is the same as with most other products like this. You’re immediately told you can sign up for your free commission website.
But it’s not free! It’s with a company called Cool Handle and will cost you about $140 upfront with a monthly hosting fee. Sure the website itself is free, but that’s free anywhere else as well.
Then he wants you to view a webinar by John Crestani. This is a real product called The Super Affiliate System. The link will bring you to my review.
This is a high ticket product that will cost you $997. It has nothing to do with Ecom Profit, but the owner will make a huge commission off of you, lol.
The product itself is basically showing you how to set up a Shopify store. That’s it!
I know the number of videos is impressive, but they are all short with minimal lessons. And he’s leaving out the most important aspect of a successful business. TRAFFIC!
If you’re not shown how to drive traffic to your store, you won’t get any sales.
- You will need to learn how to build up your audiences on social media.
- You should learn how to create an email list and use email marketing.
- You will have to learn how to research keywords to attract your visitors.
- Then learn how to write engaging content to rank within Google
These are just some ways to drive traffic, and there’s no mention of this here.
Upsells
I never recommend buying the upsells offered. First, the video tells you how much money you can make with their system, and then as soon as your inside, they say you need the upsells to be successful.
How can you trust people like that? All they want is more money from you. And the upsells are rarely worth the hundreds of dollars you end up paying.
Beware the One-Click purchases.
As soon as you click on the item, your credit card is immediately charged for that upsell. It’s sucks, I know. You don’t even get a chance to approve the purchase.
You will still have to get additional training to learn how to properly use the dropshipping method of earning money online. And there are plenty of places to get that if you truly desire this type of business.
Dropshipping Alternative Training
- Udemy has some remarkable courses on dropshipping, and not just for the Shopify platform.
- Drop Ship Lifestyle is a legitimate training program that’s been around since 2012.
- Shopify itself offers training and support.
Pros
- 60-day money-back guarantee
- Low cost
Cons
- Unrealistic income claims
- Very basic overview
- Insufficient training
- No support
- Time-consuming business – need customer service
- Need working capital for upfront purchases
- Steep learning curve
Final Thoughts And Recommendations
This product doesn’t deliver what it promises. At all! And I really don’t think it’s worth your $37. You can find the same type of information by searching on Google or YouTube, for free.
Dropshipping is a very real business and done by many marketers. But as I mentioned earlier, he’s left out a lot of important facts.
Besides no traffic training, he doesn’t tell you that this is a time-consuming business to perform. Many successful dropshippers outsource the daily tasks to save their time.
And he never mentions that the income he claims is the total sales, not the profit. Oh, and what about all the upfront costs. Not too many beginners have a lot of money to prepurchase their inventories.
Is Ecom Profit Sniper a scam? No Would I recommend it? No
This is just another lousy product the owner hopes to sell to make money. He doesn’t care that he promised you the moon. He just wants his money.
And when he’s no longer making money, he’ll pull down the website, rehash and relaunch it under another name.
It frustrated me so much. They make a bad name for online marketing, even though it’s a wonderful industry to create yourself a passive income.
Did you know that there’s a much easier way to earn money online? It’s called affiliate marketing. It’s much better for someone new, and you can start with little to no investment.
Can I make you my honest and sincere recommendation?
I would love for you to come and see where I learned everything about affiliate marketing, and where I run my own business to this day.
This platform offers you everything you need under one roof. All the expert training, tools, and support. That’s my favourite part… the very large, active, and live community on the platform. No Facebook group here, lol.
And the best part is you can start for free. And when you decide to join for all the incredible benefits, it’s one low price that never goes up. No hidden fees and no upsells!
When you click on the image below, you can read all about it. When you join, I’ll meet you on the inside and help you as long as you want me to. See you soon!
Did you get the Ecom Profit Sniper ad in your inbox? That’s where mine came. I’m amazed it’s still available, lol.
If you have any more questions or comments, please leave them below. I’d love to hear from you.
Cheers,
Suzanne
Hi Suzanne
There are so many low-quality schemes like this around, which claim to teach you all you need to know, but in fact, you can easily find the material they offer elsewhere online for free.
Econ Profit Sniper has so many red marks against it that I would think that it is not far above a scam. I really hate all the upsells that sites like this promote!
So I certainly will not be joining any time soon!
Very many thanks for your warnings.
Chrissie:)
Hi Chrissie, and thanks for commenting!
Oh I know, right? I don’t use the term “scam” lightly. Legally, if there’s a product inside, it’s not an outright scam. But so many come so close!
And the videos are so full of lies, all in the hope that a newbie will believe it and buy.
Then they don’t deliver on any of their promises. So frustrating. There’s no way this product will work for anyone unless they already have experience. But anyone with experience wouldn’t be bothered with this, lol.
I really want to help people start their own online business and create an income. So if I can at least steer them away from junk like this, it’s a great start. Affiliate marketing is awesome when done properly and honestly.
Cheers,
Suzanne
